Adam,

It has certainly got more attention but it won't ever be huge to the mainstream. Too much competition there. I am a nut for it so I tend to hang around those who also like it. We get lots of soccer on T.V. now including the Premier League.

The Cup has been good for the game here and finally the anti-soccer sports writers are being summarily dismissed. I think a lot of that is that that was our boys are over there fighting in a U.S. uniform. I think sometimes their hatred, and I mean true hatred, for soccer blinds them to that fact. I really don't get too emotional about our national team (would have been painful in the past) but I was so proud of them after the Germany game. I think many coaches at the Cup would have loved that kind of effort out of their teams.

So, now we watch and find out where they all end up. If they stay here or go overseas. Landon wants to stay if it means going to Leverkusen. He wants a loan elsewhere. His experience there was bad but I think he is more mature now. He is only 20 so I think taking it slow is a good idea.

We have a few more of those types of players on their way up right now. I would say we will be better in 2006 though that doesn't guarantee anything these days.

Re: Re: England is out of W/C :-)))

Hi Ivan,

I do not like football very much, too.
You know, look at what British newspapers write about other football teams esp. Germany's. Hear what they say in the media. I don't appreciate the way England likes to present itself, you British seem to think you are something better than the rest of Europe.
For your defense, our media seem to be filterning info about you, too and if you don't meet any native British from time to time you have to rely on what is called "public opinion".

Yes, I am nineteen and I don't have that amout of experience and maturity like you may have. I also have not posted that much yet. I am a passive member of this board, I nearly read say 80 per cent of the threads on the following boards: E60, E39, Race stories, Gumball3k. E34 not anymore since I am going to sell mine.
I do not claim much respect at all as long as I don't increase my number of posts to a 3 digit number or more. This is the reason why I posted this thread in OT.
Sorry for that.

I am the owner of both the M5T and the Volvo. I am using the M5 as secondary car and the Volvo as a primary car. We also take the Volvo to deliver things to our customers, computers etc. The M5's trunk is too small and it was not made for transport.
But I am selling the M5 and trying to upgrade to a E39 M5 (2001 preferrably) since the E34 sucks in the winter and we really have lots of winter and slippy roads in our area. The E39 handles way better on snowy conditions and has better traction than the E34 has.

Cya

Christoph

Well, Christoph, I hate football and are also glad that it`s all over for us, maybe it will stop all those plonkers driving around with St George flags plastered all over their cars.

But...

I see from your profile that you are a 19 year old student. Your english seems good enough reading your other posts that you know what you are saying.

In that case I will put your immaturity and lack of respect down to your youth. There is absolutely no need to start mouthing off your opinion that a whole country is an "arrogant asshead" when you only have about 12 posts to your name, and certainly have not gained a reputation for respect or tolerance here.

Considering that you students are supposed to be the future generation, the people to take the world forward in the twenty first century, I would have expected more from someone who has the commitment and resources to purchase and maintain a rare M5 Touring...

...Or is that Dads car and the Volvo yours ?

Ivan.
