SMGII/F1-type transmission in World Rally?

I was watching WRC on SPEED, and couldn't see the driver clutching, just wondering if World Rally Championship cars use semi-manual transmissions like F1. Interestingly, some Rally cars have the shifter on the steering wheel while others on the center console. The drivers pull back for upshifts, and push forward for downshifts, just like the SMGII on M3's.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am 99% sure that there is no clutch.

Some drivers prefer having the shifters on the steering wheel, others have the handle just to the right of the wheel.
It was awesome to see McRae using his left hand to shift, because of his accident. What a trooper!

I believe they are similar to the SMG, with no clutch. They either change using a lever behind the wheel (i.e. Peugeot/Subaru) or via an extended gear stick ala McCrae's Focus.
