I personally believe that the fixation on Obama specifically is misplaced. Yes, he is doing his part to accelerate our national journey to bankruptcy, but he is not the only one and certainly didn't start it. Virtually everyone involved in the dual-party establishment is complicit and merely eliminating Obama achieves virtually nothing.

With that said, I think this is funny: AFP: Indonesia mulls tearing down Obama statue

I don't think it's fair that there is just an 'off topic forum' when clearly you guys deserve a pure 'obama' forum with unlimited obama hate threads...

wow, what's the fixation? ...he's strugglin, OK, folks that don't like where he is coming from are having a field day - understandable...

Me? ...I don't enjoy any president failing, if I voted for them or not, guess that's the difference between us. Heck, in the past few months I even watched the actual Nixon / Frost interviews, not just the movie, and I still think he was a remarkable American, warts and all, and Carter, I get him, OK, he was a limp dk, but they were all americans, elected by my fellow americans, and that's the way democracy goes, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But, and this is the big but, if americans aren't happy, with issue number uno - the economy, well, you won't be around long - that's the way it works. I just think it's pointless to engage in all the endless hate - to what end...

now I'm thinking, well, you know what's coming next Mark - the rain of fire for saying something reasonable...

First, I'll be labeled as a liberal hater, then how I'm misled by my pos messiah, then something about my grandma wanting some mullato snake in her day and god knows what...

I think I get it, so just for fun (since we all know I'm about to be ultra flamed), lets just say it like it looks sometimes - - the apparent need to start an obama hate thread where ONLY true Americans can post, you know, as long as they meet the basic requirements ;

-hate obama
-hate liberals
-hate taxes
-hate anyone that doesn't hate taxes
-hate obama s'more
-hate health care if it means poor folks get any help they don't pay for
-hate to listen to anything but rush hate speak on the radio
-hate pelosi
-hate reid
-hate house democrats
-hate senate democrats
-hate to miss glenn beck
-hate hate parties that don't burn obama in effigy
-hate anyone left of center
-hate obama's marxist advisors
-hate the saps that don't know obama is a marxist black panther
-hate bleeding heart liberals
-hate all media communists
-hate to miss obama hate parties...

...etc...

I think you get the idea...

...well, having some fun there of course, and yes, as you see, for sure I don't have all the answers, pretty sure despite you guys mean well in your own way, and shouldn't be all bad as fellow M drivers, but nope, you don't have all the answers, and for sure, politicians don't have all the answers, including nixon, ford, carter, reagan, bush41, clinton, W, or obama...

A lot of these guys were on the defensive for 8 years and now are on the other side.

That's how it works in politics.

The difference with this is that Democrats wait for someone to do something wrong before they tear someone apart. Go back some number of pages to the thread right after Obama was elected, and you will see people bashing him before he even took Office. Many say that the Republican party is going through an identity crisis, which is quite evident. I see Republicans with many different ideas. However, most of them agree that they hate Obama, and have voiced that opinion from the moment he has gotten elected.

So when you say that this is simply a turning of the tables, I respectfully disagree.

Absolute, complete horseshit. Both sides act EXACTLY the same way as they're nothing more than two-sides of the same coin.

Well maybe some do. Of course the extreme liberals like Keith Olbermann (who I have mixed feelings about) will shove someone under the bus immediately, but notice that I have not said anything negative about Scott Brown since his election (except that him being in elected will likely kill healthcare reform). Look back to that thread after the Presidential election. I rarely see a display like that from numerous liberals (besides those who make careers of debating the other side).

So your actions are representative of democrats (and you're a self-professed liberal), while a super-liberal like Olberman isn't? If you haven't seen anti-XXXXX from whomever on whatever side it is either because you are not looking for it or haven't been around long enough to notice.

Those who speak the loudest will always be more polarized than others. Just the way it works. It has been this way ever since man first formed an opinion on anything. You're just more sensitive to it, I imagine, because it is your guy getting hammered.

Its my actions and the actions of pretty much every liberal I speak to. We are upset over Scott Brown, for instance, but I have yet to see mass numbers of liberals b*tch and moan about him personally, as he has not actively done anything yet. Of course Olbermann is going to make a big deal over it. Its his job to do such things (just as Glenn Beck does for the conservatives). You cannot base what liberals are doing off these people, as they are in different situations than most when it comes to politics.
