Is it worth the aggro? There are untold number of violent idiots who happen to be complete literalists. Heck during the british colonisation era, even they were smart enough to work with the native arabs in installing a western friendly kingdom that could sustain itself outside the usmania caliphate without anyone ever being able to say that british conquered mecca.

...but as a christian, I get a little tired of feces on Mary / crusafix etc just so an atheist can have his moment of free speech or some liberal newspaper can reval their appreciation for antichrist art etc...

They definately lack a sense of humor. It is an extreme case of Isaac Hayes syndrone, where Hayes eagerly participated in every Christian and Jew-ridiculing episode of South Park, but quit the show when they made fun of Scientology (his religion).
