A great friend of mine in Hong Kong is originally from France (though I don't hold it against him). He was visiting New York a couple of years ago and it is a Saturday night - asked him what he'd like to have for dinner (obviously all the Kosher places are closed).

"David, I'd like to have Jewish food tonight."

So I took him to a Chinese restaurant.

(Though there are some very nice Israeli wines - and how can we forget Manischewitz?)
