He DOES NOT have the right to limit anyone's pay. Or, for that matter, fire a GM executive. This is TOTALLY against the Constitution.
Now, is it right that we taxpayers pay bonuses to these people who have failed? NOPE! That's just one more reason to not bail failing entities out! We should have never got into this mess to begin with. So let's not further compromise our principles buy letting the president, who has never been a banker, or an auto exec, or an assembly worker, etc, decide what he thinks is appropriate pay. That's TYRANNY at it's finest!

These levels of compensation are absurd. Are we trying to force all the talent (and revenue generaters) from these 7 banks to the rest of Wall Street? How can you selectively impose these restrictions without cutting these banks off at their knees?
In any event, if you wanted to attach strings to the bail-out money (and i am not saying that is wrong), it should have been done wheny the government gave them the maoney and not as a backward looking afterthought. Imaging if your bank called up two years after giving you your mortgage loan and told you that they no longer want you to spend more the $X of lawn care because they think your landscaping is excessive?
When The Great Annointed One speaks, E.F. Hutton listens (or else!). Friends, after these socialist Katzenjammer Kids get through with us, we'll all be selling our beloved M5 cars.
Who said anything about the second ammendment? I agree with it, but not when it comes to certain kind of "arms". Obviously you must admit that not everyone should have access to c4 so there is a range of power associated with certain weapons, it just depends on where you want to draw the line. I think people should be allowed to have guns that can protect them but not guns powerful enough to go on a shooting rampage, these shouldn't be avaliable anywhere.
Why muddy the waters with conversation on C4? Nothing in the constitution ever mentioned C4. The rest of it, whether it's a .22 pinking gun for the kids, or a 9mm for home and self-protection, to a high-powered hunting rifle are all within legal bounds. But not C4, or grenades, or anti-tank 3.5 rocket launchers. It's also well documented that citizens who have been investigated, trained, approved and certified by states Attorneys General to CCW have a flawless record of not abusing that permit. Once the bad guys are the only ones to arm, the rest of us are in trouble.
