Thanks M5Board POLICE

Why you move my thread to for sale section I didn't ask you to do so.... Now I can't find it my self so how the **** will other people find it . The main and only reason why I put it in e34 section is so that people will be able to find it easier and not have to go through million of pages with e39,e60 **** before they find my car or others as there is only about 6 of us out there that are trying to sell it .I know they must to be happy as well . Didn't think about that did you smart pants . I am so fu...ing mad now .... If you have so much power in your hands make a e34 for sale section for e34 only and we won't post in your e34 M5 Discussion forum .
Thanks for looking out for your Members next time ask.

Everybody selling their ///M5s was depressing for the rest of us....So we had it moved so we don't have to look at these depressing posts anymore and contemplate suicide… or worse, another sale of an ///M5.

E34t, I'm sorry you are so upset about your for sale post being moved and I can understand how you would want your car to go to another enthusiast BUT... This is not a free 'car for sale' site. The purpose of the site is to discuss the highs and lows of ownership and to help each other out with technical issues and other problems. There is a for sale section on the board even if it isn't E34 specific.

As much as I understand the arguments I'm going to have to side with e34t on this issue.

If other members are allowed to sell odds and ends for these cars...parts that aren't listed in the for sale section....why can't cars be listed here ensuring that another commited enthusiast will get them ?

The motive behnd the sale is actually nobodys business other than the seller...of course unless he wants to offload a dog on an unsuspecting member !

If I fall on hard times...and we all do at some point.....and want to sell my car to raise much needed cash for my family should that be an issue ?

I think the posts should be moved back to the main forum....the fact that so many are for sale is simply as sign of the dire times we live in.

Was it not in the main forum here that i too found my own car......it was also in the for sale section but that's not where i got wind of it. If I may say so thanks to that I think she found a good home.

As passionate as we all are lets not let robe our passions for these cars with unecessary sentiments.....good we love them.....but we need to give others a chance to love them too. As e34t states few people are going to see the cars in the for sale section and thats not good. Its the guys that frequent this forum that will recognise their inherent values in an instatnt. Heck if I had the funds after seeing the car I too would have bought it !

Gustav....I think you need to reconsider these arguments....if its depressing seeing so many good cars for sale lets all campaign for higher taxes to fix all the toxic economies....cut down on our fuel expenditure to save the planet....or better still, sign the Skyy petition for a party leaders debate so we....and in this case, all the guys in the U.K..... can see what jerks some of the leaders are !

We are not directly to blame for the sorry state of the world economy which, in many cases necessitates these sales....but lets at least try in our own enthusiastic ways to ensure that the cars have the best possible chance of finding good homes.

Cheers

Erik

Erik, I don't have a problem with anyone putting up parts or in fact a whole car for sale on this section of the board. I for one would like to see all these great cars in the hands of enthusiasts. My point is that if someone has contributed little to this forum (42 posts, over half of which are about the sale of their car or pictures relating to it) they should not start moaning about their post being moved to the for sale section.

Selling

I'm not actually selling anything , just mooting the idea and asking for an opinion on whether this is a stupid time to sell.

Steve
This post is clearly different than the OPs post. Yours was asking for advice on if it was the right or wrong time to sell - that prob shouldn't be moved.

To the OP - if you're trying to sell something it belongs in the FOR SALE section. Sub-forums are on this board for a reason, to keep it tidy. If I'm looking to buy a part or a car, you go to the FOR SALE section, if I'm interested in the ball bearings blowing up my engine, I check out the E46 M3 section. If I want to discuss my SMG fouling up after 1000 miles, I go to the E60 M5 section, and if I want to know what color I should get my car in, I send a private message to Sebring NL. I don't want to be sifting through a thousand for sale posts if I'm trying to find a post DISCUSSING the car at issue. How about you consider that?

If you want more hits on your sale, go to eBay.

Now this **** is mucking up the OT forum. Case closed.
