Environmental conscious people steal more in stores and cheat on tax slip!

The word reached me that recent studies show that 'environmentally conscious' people are more often stealing in stores and cheating in other ways, such as tax evation. So, apart from being two-faced,small-minded, married-to-women-with-unshaved-armpits and general psychotic behaviour, it seems that Prius drivers are also downright criminals.

It appears that a certain 'piece-of-mind' balance exists and because of that balance being tipped to the correct side by buying all this organic food, wearing wicker shoes and driving Prius' and Honda Hybrids, makes for a lower treshold to commit other crimes.

People who drive normal cars with RWD , no traction control and 300+ hp therefore are probably the most trustworthy persons .

A bit of unsubstantiated tribalism methinks. Bear in mind some of the arses I see driving +300hp cars, I wouldn't want to associate with.

I heard about this as well. And since I work for Toyota I'll now keep a closer eye on the Prius owner shopping in the Parts Dept. I wondered where all those air fresheners went!

Something tells me this is a bit of a generalization (to say the least ). I mean, sure there are annoying prius drivers who spend their time cutting off SUV drivers and giving them the 1 finger salute etc. However, I'd like to see some concrete evidence that shows a significantly high proportion of environmentally friendly people more likely to take part in these crimes. Also, just wondering what do they use to officially determine an "environmentalist?"

And on a completely different note (and I'm sorry to hijack), THIS IS MY 1000th POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ofcourse I overdid it

but it was actually on all the radio and news stations in NL a couple of days ago. Will see if I can find a link, only heard it on TV and radio

the green lobby likes to pull things out of perspective so I reckoned it wouldn't hurt to do the same

@ envisage

I agree with you on the association with some other 'performance car' owners, but one still has to admit that they face the same 'problems' as we do in high gas prices and social apocripha regarding big engines cars or SUV'

I'll tell you how dumb our politicians are. They increased the annual tax for gas-guzzlers substantially but gave a tax break to cars like mine registered in 2000. I'm not complaining but how stupid is that?
