Only a river separates Manhattan from Long Island...And we're working on making it wider...Still too close for my taste - savages

New York City is made up of five distinct parts: Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

Manhattan is where the skyscrapers are and what most people are referring to when they say NYC. The NY Yankees play in the Bronx and it is north of Manhattan. Queens and Brooklyn are to the East across the East River and are technically part of Long Island.

Nobody gives a **** about Staten Island.
