Jimmy Carter

Too important to just be an OT in the "people who I want to punch in the face " thread. Dude started with a lousy legacy, and he stuffs it further in the toilet every time he opens his stupid mouth. My vote for Person Who Needs To Stand Before the OBamacare End Of Life Panel asap:Carter 'Racism' Claim Draws Widespread Criticism - Political News - FOXNews.com

Despite Carter being my least-hated ex-President, his statement is completely moronic. While you can't ascertain the motivations of everyone, I am very confident that most people vigorously oppose Obama (and Pelosi, Reid, Rangle, Dodd,...) not because he is black, but because he is a red.

I can't stand BO. I know a LOT of people who can't. I talk to small business owners all across the US every day, and the ratio of conservatives to liberals there is seriously about 99-1. Other than 1 or 2 probable KKK members, I have NEVER heard a racist reason for disliking the man. Hell, I voted for a black man for Pres (Alan Keyes). As I told my daughter: "I can give you 1000 resons why I don't like BO. His color isn't on the list."

Former President Jimmy Carter drew widespread criticism Wednesday for saying in an interview that Rep. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst last week was "based on racism" and that an "overwhelming portion" of similar demonstrations against President Obama are rooted in bigotry.

I think we shouldn't be surprised by this kind of response from Carter - he likes attention from time to time. Part of his strategy to rewrite his legacy of malase and chaos that he drug us all into...

Do people appose the plan for health care for good reasons? I think most that do feel so on the merits of what they have been able to figure out on their own. Are there bigots having fun at the same time, of course. Was the overblown stupid outburst rooted in bigotry? ...we'll never know.

I don't like the race card being pulled. It's not relevant, and turns into a sideshow. At least 90% of America could care less how much melanin Obama has in his skin...

That includes the 55% that voted for him, the 35% that voted against him, and the 10% racists that do care how much melanin is in his skin and also voted against him - but the 90% could care less what those uneducated inbred hillbillies think...

Mark it never fails and it doesn't change.
As usual anyone who is opposite to your political spectrum is an uneducated moron. Yes yes yes I know that compared to you I'm an uneducated moron. Yes you have much more formal education than I.
Again you can not help but take a swipe at anyone (and their lack of education) who is opposite to your liberal mindset.

Carter is a MORON. An inept incompetent prez and outright antisemite. But of course you apparently go with Carter's flow.

btw Mark your election numbers quoted are inaccurate but who cares. Your man BHO is being exposed for who he is. Fortunately Americans are waking up. Many who voted for this POS are having "buyers remorse".
The mid-term elections of 2010 will be very telling, nevermind 2012.

I do not even know why I've bothered to post. Mark educate yourself. I'll give you a list of books to read.
You need to differentiate ideology vs. money.

It can be a challenge at times to read your misinterpretations of what folks say and how you somehow turn it into another attack on you - Allow me to explain;

This meant Carter is an @ss, and is trying to rewrite the mess of a presidency he had...

This meant most folks that don't like the health care bill don't like the health care bill, and are not racists...

This meant that calling opposition to the bill racist is bull and at least 90% are not racists...

Now I honestly do not get where out of all that I am a liberal lashing out at others that don't agree when I am agreeing with the OP and other posts in the thread, or how you incorrectly somehow manage to infer that I consider you or anyone else here in that 10%.

My eyes do get tired - but I try to save some of whats left each day to enjoy this board. So I really don't need to read any more than I do already - but thanks for the offer of a reading list. I only have a MA, so do not have as much formal education as we all know you do with your many years of medical schools. Of course you should be proud of your career as a doctor, as we respect that effort and the work you do, as well as your service as a veteran in Vietnam.

However, I do not understand your intent here, or know you personally, you clearly assume too much and do not really know me despite your attempts to characterize me in different ways here. Not that you care, you would be surprised to know I'm a registered republican in Florida - that's voted republican in most elections since 1972 - so please, stop the sly insults and try to treat fellow board members with the kind of respect they also deserve.

.

The more Carter speaks, the less people take him seriously. His former weak credibility is but a distant memory.

Cool it with the personal attacks or the thread will shut down and we can't bash Jimmy Carter...

I don't think anyone wants that to happen...
