Wow - I really have to check the board more often...I always miss the good posts!

First of all Dan, the numbers that you said completely blow my mind! Actually, at first I thought of 8 digits in Canadian Currency and that blew my mind... .then I thought about it in US currency and I almost had a heart attack!!

I really cant add much to this post - except that I hope you do what makes you happy and that you make honest choices and decisions.

good luck!!

The OT Police missed this one. This should be taken to the OT area.

I am very familier with a number of schemes that offer that kind of return, most involving foreign bank guarantees. Please do your homework. All claim legitimacy, but essentially none are. I have known many who have "invested" in this concept. All have
lost their entire investment. If I am guessing correctly as to its origin, check with the Comptroller of the Currency as to its legitimacy, and above all, do your "due diligence."

It seems that Dan asked for advice, and virtually everyone with a sound business background told him not to risk everything.

I agree, this should be taken to the OT area.

There are plenty of money managers on Sand Hill Road more qualified than any of us to advise Dan on this topic

As far as buying these ultra-exotic cars, it would be far more fun to buy a Suburban, a trailer and a used Gt2 or Gt3 and go have some fun on the track.

Why not just buy a '95 M3 or something during college?

Since you are asking for all comments.. Get ready for my one-sided but brutally honest feedback: at first, I felt sorry for you believing in such a scam but then I started wondering if you were actually trying to sell us something with all these 'low risk high return numbers', hoping that someone will ask for more details.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong you could be totally legitimate really seeking advice on how to morally and financially manage your wealth on the best investment we have ever heard of.

And that's the fun and exciting part, one just never know. In life, one has to use good judgement to decide on what to believe and what not to believe, and this relates to not only messages on the internet but also on investment tips, and news from the paper.

If I’m wrong and you’re right, please accept my sincere apologies which I’m sure you’ll understand and if not, get lost and get a life.

I wonder is Dan still around? I would have thought he would at least have given his story of the events following his investment.
I am a Senior International Financial Planner with the largest company doing our business in the world and live in a country that has 60,000 US$ Millionaires, so I know my stuff having worked in the industry for the last 20 years.... one thing to consider is that if it looks too good to be true it usually is, smacks of a scam to me but who knows? I would love to hear how he got on, anybody still in contact with Dan?

Wow, I forgot about this completely! How are you Dan?

Do you have an E60? This car is great even though we got off to a bumpy start. I hope you got your degree, the best investment any young person can make.

Best regards
