She "abused her power" in a way that you, I, or any other person I know would've done. FAR cry from what the OBamasiah's done.
1) you, I, or any other person I know are not in public office with every single thing we do being scrutinized. I'd like to think that we would know better. Not to mention that I wouldnt have done that, by the way.
2) I still think that she can be as squeaky clean as you want, but that doesnt make her fit for the white house. Honestly, I didnt really care much for either candidate up until McCain picked Palin. I then started to read a bit and saw her interviews (and the debate), and now the thought of her in the white house is seriously messed up. If he wouldve picked Condy Rice, then that wouldve been a different story.
3) In order to get anywhere in politics, you gotta know people. Do enough homework and you can link anyone to anyone (6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, anyone?). I think I might've said this before, but Obama would have to straight up kill puppies with his bare hands while listening to the Jonas Brothers as a hobby for me to even to remotely start considering Palin as a good choice for the White House.
Not that it matters, anyway. New York isn't exactly a swing state.

Actually - I wouldn't. But, even if I would should I have been in a similar situation, it is still wrong. Moral equivalency is a poor attempt at justification.
actually John McCain was my man for president (good credentials and strong on ethics and values) until his hand shake with the religious far right to get their cheap votes. Now i hope both candidates lose if that is even possible. i am not voting and IL is not a swing state anyways.

election on MSNBC as well as FOX..Its completely fascinating on the "spin" that goes on...both ways..and with 20 something days left, I'm afraid it going to get worse...

As long as we are tossing out videos, here's a nice reminder of McCain's involvement in the S&L crises, his close association with Keating, and a foreshadowing government bailout.
