New Lotus Elise...$50,000.... Saw...$15....

...the expressions of those who see you drive on the freeway while wearing a helmet... Priceless.

For those who did not see my original post, I work for a company that specializes in after-market parts for the Lotus Elise and Exige. We decided to see how far we could go with Collin Chapman's philosophy of "Simplify and add lightness." Well the project is finally "done" and the results are spectacular. The car is an entirely different beast now. No real power was added (maybe 8hp more then stock or so) but this car now can keep up with supercharged ones in the straights and flat out looses them in the twisties. Just thought I would share a couple pictures of the finished product.

Cheers,

Brian

Shoot me a PM. Do you have any sort of instant messager on your computer?

gurman: I'm glad you like it. We put over 560 hours into the car so the positive feedback is always nice!

It will never be done Next big ideas are... well lets just say there are other motors that will get much better power to weight ratio while at the same time incorporating a more sequential style gear box then we have. We also have some McLarren F1 insperation that we need to address. Probably won't get to that for a while but it is in the works for the future.

If anyone on here works for any magazines or has a friend who works for a publication company, we are trying to get the car featured and get it out there. I feel this is probably one of the craziest Lotus out there if not the craziest.

Cheers,

Brian
