StealthBMR So it IS the VIS...I've heard various stories about fitment with aftermarket hoods on the E60, most notably the Seibon. There are a couple of board members who have tried both Seibon and VIS and have all said the fitment of the VIS is much better. Now after seeing yours I'm sold. VIS it is. I'm guessing you had to pull the gas struts. Are you just using a prop rod?
Beautiful Beast by the way.

Hey Stealth, yeah I have to say the fitment is pretty good for a custom hood, the pop up spring from the hood latch had to be removed so it would sit flush with the front but I'm certainly happy with it. It's a CF GTR style hood by VIS Racing.

Maverick56 Hey everyone, I'm a new M5 owner as well and figured I'd chime in and say hello. Glad to be here and looking forward to perusing all the information this place has to offer.

flyfishing I just picked up a 2006 M5 with 54k miles this weekend. It has blacked out kidney & side grills, charcoal delete, air scoops, evolve ecu tune, smg euro tune and muffler delete. I just ordered euro spec lights w/LED angel eyes and am getting the car lowered with eibach springs and 12 and 10 mm spacers in 2 weeks. Just had it coded for more options. Gonna change the the old lma module to newer one to enable angel eyes as DRL and add an ipod adapter. And I want a louder and deeper exhaust at some point.

TylerJohnson I have had it for a little while, but the weather got decent enough here in NC to take out the M5 last weekend. Here is my 2006 Silverstone M5.
