I'm very interested in your lift. Could you take a pic with the car on It, can you send a link of where you got it? I've been trying to find one that fits my tight space and I don't think I've seen one like that before.
Thanks
When I bought it about 12 years ago, there were no US importers, so I contacted the company in China directly and had one sent on a slow boat

Not Greg Smith Equipment sells 'em. Pretty sure it's the same source company as I got mine from:
Atlas® SLP-9K Commercial Grade 9K Lbs Capacity Full Rise Scissor Lift| GSES | GSES

Bets $4k you'll ever spend. Even though it goes to 6' high, in a space constrained garage, even if you can do 4' high, it's plenty to roll around under the car on a stool.

2008, 6MT, 62k miles, Black Sapphire over Silverstone Merino full leather. Absolutely in love. It's the 11th BMW I've owned and the best car I've ever owned (my 2002 Porsche 911 is a near-tie for best car I've ever owned).

I looked on and off for over a year for a decent 6MT. Black exterior wasn't my first choice, but the price and mileage were right, plus I was holding out for a LCI car, with full leather, non-black interior and ventilated seats.

Interestingly, this car did NOT have DSC-off enabled (06/2007 build, and DSC-off was standard in 09/2007), which is good news for the drivetrain. Had that coded in at the dealer last week. I have a lift in my garage and plan to do the rod bearings myself later this year. Had to pay the dealer to enable the DSC-off, now it's a hoot to step the back end out around corners!

I'm in Cary, NC ... any other triangle area M5 owners out there?

Notable options, pretty close to what I would have ordered if I did it myself:
2MA Manual Transmission
X2xx Full Perforated Merino Leather with Alca
4MA M Multifunction Seats with Active Width
4MF Dynamic Seat Back Width Adjustment
453 Active Seat Ventilation, Front
610 Head Up Display
737 Interior Trim Alu Shadow, Brushed
Congrats on the new M5!

Major Cheese I picked up this Black Sapphire Metallic over Portland Brown Leather Interior back in late December. She had 52k miles on her which I traded the dealer for $25k. It's an SMG, with a HUD, Comfort Access, Multi Function Comfort Seats and Rear Seat Heating.

It's my DD, well 3 days a week anyway. So far I love it, except for the SMG, still trying to figure that out.

The pics are seen here with my 850CSi. It's going to be difficult for me to drive anything with less than 10 cylinders from now on.

Welcome!

Are you in Perth? Just noticed the plates on the car behind the M5.

zarnd1 Hello,

New owner of an e61 M5 in Silverstone blue. Got it October last year.

Previously on here as zarnd and had an e39 M5 in Le Mans Blue but unable to get back into my old account so started a new one.

cheers

Bibm5 Proud owner of a "new to me" 2008 alpine white m5. Even happier to say it is one of the few 6spd manuals out there! I hunted for a few months to find one in my price range and immediately flew to houston and drove it back home to Atlanta.
