Amazing workmanship. Great photos. I enjoy the mechanical aspect of this car as much as the stunning looks.
I have attached some other photos during engine overhaul circa 2006 especially Photo 4 with cam covers off.
Regarding banjo bolt issue: I'm guessing these would have been fixed then but is there any way to confirm this without removing covers again?

I had a close up view in 2015 ,, ALPINA 50 anniversary,,,,,
afaik,, the E31 5.7 was the only V12 that got headers

Thanks SH, I think it is good also! A better photo of the amazing headers is attached. Its from the Alpina factory display I believe. No idea of cost, probably they don't have any spares.

i have 2 of these gearboxes,, 1 in my e30 and another on the floor and also a M73B54 engine,,,
if you have a look at the gearboxes they are colossal,,, they are 20 kg more in weight vs the E34 M5 gearbox 5 speed
i would like to get a pair of these V12 headers,, but the cost is ,, i guess not the average price
your car looks STUNNING !!!!!!!!
B12 5.7 E31 and E36 B8 are the next ALPINA cars to my favorite list
