A little story behind all these pictures. Ferrari/Maserati of Seattle hosted their annual "Ferrari on 12th" event again this year with a huge multitude of exotics ranging from the Ferrari Enzo to the super-light Noble M12 GTO 3R (a 2000 pound 400 hp twin-turbo V6 track monster).
Two highlights of the day were sitting in the Enzo and getting a chance to see what VanCooper's W211 E55 could do against the Lamborghini Gallardo at full song!
Enjoy!

does that Noble has the original 3.0l V6 turbo from Modeno?
there's an importer advertises the Noble M12 GTO 3R in the back of Road & Track magazine, but i don't think it includes the engine, because of the emission problems.

Pong, hardly....I'd rather go for a Porsche and then a Ferrari eventually.
The E55 vs Gallardo story goes something like this. From 12th in Seattle, we were parked next to the Gallardo. When it was time for everyone to get on the road, they'd flagged us to get behind the Gallardo. So, for a couple of miles of city driving, we'd play a bit of a cat and mouse scooting from block to block with a number of Alfa Romeos swirling about. After a while, we'd finally gotten on the freeway and that's when the Gallardo took off! We'd lost the Gallardo due to heavy traffic but we knew exactly where to go. After a bit, we'd finally caught up to the Gallardo. After passing each other a couple of times, the freeway opened up long enough for us to drop the hammer! It was now down to the E55 and the Gallardo with the latter slightly ahead. The E55 was spooling up to full boost with a roar. Fists clenched, the Gallardo pulled ever so slightly ahead. She was not getting away from us. But a couple of seconds passed before we were seeing speeds well into the triple digits. After a couple of moments, we'd realized that there was no catching up to the Gallardo. Backing down, we'd handed the victor over to the Gallardo. It was a good try on the E55's part.
