Post Final E39 M5 Sales Report

A toast to the end of an era

I don't expect the E60 to generate the level of enthusiasm this car has enjoyed over the last 4 years.

...but, I digress

drumroll please....

Model Year 2000: 2,874 units

Model Year 2001: 2,206 units

Model Year 2002: 2,189 units

Model Year 2003: 1,710 units

Grand Total : 8,979 Beasts in the USA

-----------------------------------------------------------------

There will be a few more beasts trickling in, over the next several months, however the numbers will be immaterial.

And a toast to your trusty service of ongoing sales numbers, blue max!

I was #6 on my dealer's list, and took delivery in the sixth month of US sales. What a glorious ride it's been!

I tend to agree, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Either way:

Long live the E39 M5!!

Nice job blue max. Thanks for sharing with us. Amazing how few M5s there are out there and yet we still have such a great member turnout on this board. Are there any graphs depicting how much of each color were made?

Great facts. Copied in the "best-of" section

I remember the crazy times of 2000. Wow, then it was pressure after the M5, $20k over MSRP
