Holy Moly.

It takes GUTS to drive at that speed in the dark. I hope he knows the road well. The car outruns its headlights at that speed and any curves can be a disaster.

I don't think I can do that even in the day time.

What mods does his car have? Obviously there isn't a speed limiter... but a stock M5 won't do that will it?

I gotta try to see what my baby will do...I have seen 180 indicated with 4 people and a full trunk of luggage and more inside the cabin and she was still going. I know 190 is more the possible with just myself inside.

Now, would i try this at night? with winter tires? NO WAY IN HADES! You are crazy!

Nick,

Bone-stock M5 will have a limiter, so it will not do that.

Once you chipped the car to delimit it, it can go that high. Although the true speed is a subject of debate due to speedo inaccuracy.

I have gone to 167mph and knew for sure the car still has PLENTY left. If you have enough guts, enough flat road, no traffic and no cops, then I think any delimited M5 can do that.
