Lidatek or Passport Laser Jammer is best?

Has anyone heard of the new Laser Jammer/Shifter from Passport/Escort Radar?

They just started shipping it a couple of weeks ago and from what I've heard (very little) - it seems to work well.

Has anyone done any research as to what the best laser jammer out there is?

You all in the group buy probably want to make sure your're getting the best available technology/product out there.

Good luck.

It looks like the one from lidatek scored very high marks compared to the other solutions according to the radar test site posted by DeanZ.

More reason for me to definitely get it from them.

Review of Passport Laser Jammer (and others)

A comparison of the Passport and Lidatek - the Passport does come w/ 2 front and one rear transponder - in it's package....not sure if that makes a difference. I'm not sure how partial these testers are - I believe that some are paid consultants to the radar detector/jammer companies....hope this is helpful.

Will you let M3 owners in on this?

I'd like one too. You can count me in.

Hamman7, What's the diff btwn the Echo with the control unit and the Echo LE20? The one in the radar test has a control unit, and the one on the Echo website doesn't come with one.

TampaM5

Oak, I'll call Lidatek today and ask them... Apparently the LE20 is the newest and improved version over the older LE10 unit. It comes in smaller packaging for stealth mounting and thus the only thing you have to put in the dash is a small LED.

I think the main advantage of the LE20 is that it provides the same amount of jamming power as the brute force LE10, but it is more 'streamlined' for placement purposes. However, just to make sure, I will ask them again.

Okay-I've got a question thats related to this subject (i'm just wondering if a laser jammer would be worth the $400 investment).

It just seems like in the Dallas/FT Worth area no one uses laser. (ie Dallas police, Park Cities police, state troopers, etc). I've been hit many many times with radar (Passport has saved me each time) but I have never been hit with laser. Have I just been lucky to not be hit with laser? Does pretty much everyone have it? Or is laser a pretty regional thing (it seems like a ton of CA guys have been having laser troubles).

Thanks,
Parker
