Going 100+ with cop next to me - CHP11-99 saves the day!

Well for those who don't believe in the CHP11-99 Foundation, this story will make you change your minds.

In California, time around 3pm. Driving on 85 South, going on the 280 on ramp. For those of you who know this section, the ramp from 85 to 280 is a long one and you can just fly out ramp onto the 280. I looked to my left for on coming traffic and didn't see anyone, so I pushed it from around 55mp to 100 in no time. All a sudden I see a front bumper next to my side door? I was in shock, then looked quickly and it was a black bumper with steel guards. Guess what it was a COP, no doubt about. Immediately gets behind me and puts on the lights. I pull over of course.

He comes over and tells me if I knew how fast I was going, I told him right away that I was speeding and was going probably around 90-95. He told me I was clocked at 102 ! I told him some Mustang was on my *** on 85 and I wanted to get him off my bumper. I gave him my CHP-1199 badge and membership car.
Now two cop cars by the way. He comes back and tells me he doesn't know what to do, 1. give me a ticket or 2. give me a warning. Well he gives me a warning and says later. This was all done in about 3 minutes. That quickly I showed him my badge and I was out of there.

Wow, if I didn't have that, I can only imagine all the time in court, etc.... Can you imagine, going side by side at 100+ next to a cop. I am sure he was salavating to give me a ticket.

So guys, get out there and sign up

Where do I signup??

Where do you sign up? Do you have a link? If I get another ticket I'm done. Has this worked for anyone else?

Here you go.

CHP11-99

I just noticed that membership went up from 1500 to 1800. Keep in mind that this is a tax write off too.

Yeah very luck guys. Unfortunately I don't think they have anything like this in other states.

I also got pulled over doing 100+ in my jeep and they also let me go. So again, this does work.

This is still a good learning lesson for me as well. I gotta chill sometimes, but very hard to do when driving the beast. I will have to save these speeds for the track.

wow. thanks for the story/tip fred. the chp 11-99 foundation sounds like a good deal, i'll have to sign up in the next couple of years. indiana has a "fraternal order of police". its a little badge you screw to your rear plate. i think family members of those in service receive them, but i am not sure.

Does anyone know of any organizations in New York State even similar to these. I know of the "F.O.P." but you must be in law enforcement . I would love to have another "get of of jail free" card in my wallet. Thanks guys !
