Lidatek saved my butt today!

Wow!!! Ya know, you take it on faith that the Lidatek system works but I found out today it really does work. I was on 270N going to Westerville, OH to have my SS exhaust & X-pipe installed and I ripped by a bunch of cars in the lanes to my right (I was in the "hammer" lane) and rounded a slight bend at about 90 - 95 MPH when the Lidatek and my V1 went off together and I saw the State trooped in the median, passenger window open, pointing his laser right at me. I hit the brakes and let off the pedal as I went past him (so he wouldn't see brake lights!) and went past him at 65 to 68 in the 55 zone. I looked in my rearview mirror to see if he was pulling out after me and do ya know what I saw??? He's turning the laser gun over in his hand looking at it like "What the f*ck?" and I swear he was about a second away from beating the thing on his dash!!!

I couldn't stop laughing. The thing really works! Have an extra unit I'm going to have to put in the X5 before too long!

I'm kind of curious about adding this to my car, but I'm worried they'll pull me over anyway, find the unit, and arrest me for some offense more serious than a speeding ticket would have been.

That is an AWESOME story... make those cops confused... if only everyone in the country had one to really throw them off! Completely derail this bureaucratic POS municipal and state government system...

The Lidatek system is legal except for Virginia, Washington, DC, and I think maybe two other states. If I remember correctly, it's illegal in the same places that detectors are illegal. Oh yeah, that includes Canada. It's a great system. I put my front license plate on so they'd be sure to aim at the plate. The laser transducers are mouted in the grill somewhat lateral to the plate. If you get the alert, you've got 5 seconds of LASER jamming before the unit recycles. Got my second set during a group buy started from this board! Maybe someone should start another group buy!

I had a similar situation just days after installing it... and one other occasion a few weeks ago. The Lidatek is fantastic.

I'm trying to remember what I paid for mine. I think with the group buy rates it came out to be something like $335 dollars down from $450 for two transceivers.

The irony is that I still haven't had mine installed!

I think it was $320 or something like that for the two transducer system. It was worth every penny just to see the look on that cop's face today!Yes. click HERE to go to their website.
