I currently drive a '97 Honda Civic VTi-R which isn't mine...
On a military salary, saving up enough cash for my first own car is proving drastically easy considering i have virtually nothing to spend it on, therefore when i do find the need for a car of my own, it shall be a '96ish M3. and if that day is a loooooong way down the track, the first may possibly be an M5. oh my god! (mabey that's just wishful thinking)
good driving all

A motorcycle - a '71 Kawasaki Mach III which I kept for 20 years! (Many lo-sides, many repairs, and I finally gave it to a guy that collects them when I got tired of fixing it.)
The first car was a '71 240Z, the second was an '89 Supra that I still have, and the third was '01 M5. Three cars over thirty years. As you can see, I tend to keep them for awhile.

The first car I really owned was a 1991 Opel Corsa A GSI (98hp) which I bought in 1992. Before that I rode with my mothers Opel 1986 Corsa A GT (75hp).
The second car I owned was a 1992 Opel Astra GSI 16V (150hp) which I bought in 1994 with 68000km. I have owned this car until september 1998 when it was stolen in the night with 260000km on the odometer.
My third and current car is my 1990 E34 ///M5 (315hp) which I bought in december 1998 (got it in april 1999).
Currently I am considering a 1987 E28 ///M5 (286hp) as a second car next to the E34 ///M5. I am taking a look on that car next week.
For city traffic, me and my girlfriend own a 1995 Corsa B 1.4i (60hp).
Wit best regards,
Raymond

First car that I actually bought was a 1984 Pontiac Trans AM 15th Anniversary Edition. 5.0L H.O. engine. It came complete in white with blue badging and a blue "screaming chicken" on the hood scoop.

First car was a 1972 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. I paid $250 for it. This car was absolutely HUGE. It needed its 400 cubic inch V8, but had a 2 barrel carb (to save on gas :-)). I got it in 1982 when I was in high school. Junked it in 1988 for $75.
Next came a 1983 Ford Thunderbird. First year they had the rounded "egg" shape. This was my college graduation present. Got it in 1988.
First NEW car was a 1989 Chevy S-10 Blazer w/ 4.3L V6 and 4WD. (traded for minivan)
1992 Camry (ex-wife still has it. great car)
1996 Chrysler Town & Country minivan (traded in on my pickup)
1999 GMC Sierra 4WD pickup (still have)
2000 M5 (still have)
2001 Acura MDX (still have)

'62 Chevy Impala. Powerglide 2 spd. transmission, 250 cu in. six, AM radio, heater. $300. We've all come a long way, haven't we? (Also note that a lot of M5 owners also have Acura MDXs. Wonder how many people have both?)

1963 or 1964 Plymouth Valient. It had a pushbutton automatic with the slant six motor. It never failed me during those all important high school years. Once I even tried to drive it through a flood stage creek, almost made it, before the car stalled and I had to climb out the window and wade to dry land. A farmer pulled it out and after a day to dry it started right up as nothing had happened. Fond memories of this car and 20 years after I sold it I still know where it is and it is a daily driver. If I had the garage space I would buy it for the memories well, maybe just the backseat.
