And the Mercedes is the most luxurious car of the bunch with the least amount of wind noise too...

Mercedes has really created a unique car here!

I remember reading in Road & Track Top speed (1998 or 1999)issue where they test a Ruf Turbo, a Mac F1, F550M, Henessey Viper, etc. all the cars were driven by Mario Andretti. His comment was that the Mac F1 was the most UNSTABLE car at high speed, followed by the Ruf Porsche (due to bad wheel alignment).

He was most impressed by the F 550M and said it is the best vehicle at high speed that day. Quite contradictory huh ??

These are all awesome cars, with good build quality, and I`d love to own any of them.... but....

What the hell must those crazy 900-1450bhp Veilside RH-9 Skylines in the Race Stories movie section be like with a 0-300km/h in 13.72 be like to be a passenger ?

If anyone missed it, then try ;

Hardly in the same league as a "daily driver" like these five cars, and no class, but crikey, I`d love to have a go in one!!

Ivan.

You need to double check your source. The sl55 can not posts some of those performance #'s. It's simply not possible.

Off Topic - but mad anyway

OT -

There are other movies on that site it, www.exvitermini.com

This is just so newbies can see them all if they don`t realise you can knock off the file name and go direct to the web page that hosts it. Click on "other movies"

That car goes somewhat doesn`t it
O-187mph (0-300kph) in 13.72 with missed gearchange. There are other movies with 7-8 second qtr miles.

The actual exvitermini site is a NZ guy who is building a 1450bhp skyline, over 1100bhp at the (AWD) wheels. There is a picture of him by the block with the caption "Turbos - must be bigger than your head" !! And they have to be water-cooled!!

His engineering companies motto is "engineered to be feared".

I said it on another post, if I had serious money, then what a laugh to buy another one of my £5000-8000 10 year old E34 M5s and drop a 1000bhp+ skyline motor and a custom RWD transmission & gearbox in!!

What do you reckon - 210mph ? 220?
0-125mph limited entirely by traction. Nice!

For BMWs, a Dinan or similar chips will remove the top speed limiter. What can one do to remove the limiter in the SL 55?

That's one bad car. And it looks sooooo nice too.

I was very intertested in an Z8. Now I'll wait another year and see what the SL55 actually looks like. The retractable hard top should make for a more comfortable cabin than the Z8 in the long term.

Chances are it'll be just as difficult to get one as the M5 was in October 1999 to July 2001.

Angry I dont believe those numbers for the SL55

By logic it cant be true cos the Hp rating for that car cant achieve those numbers!!! especially with that mass 1974 kg !!!!
something is wrong here!!! i'm smelling something fishy here!!

The McLaren F1 gets from 0-200 mph in about 28 seconds

IvanDias thks 4 writing about the Skyline GTR
If u havent wrote about it i would have, cos i die in this car

there is a new video of a Skyline GT-R33 V-Spec Limited Slip Differential Model 1998 against Hayabusa !!!

850 HP for Daily use @1.85 Bar with Unleaded Fuel
1000+ HP For Race use with Race Fuel

Skyline GT-R33 video vs Hayabusa
u can c it here:
http://www.toprpm.com/video1.rm

I BIT THAT SL55 can race motorcylcles 2!!!!!!

You can order the car without the speed-limiter. So I guess most of them will be un-restricted.

Why would anyone that buy a 476hp convertible want to go over 250km/h?

Cheers,
