I spoke to Black M5 on the phone a few days ago, and he said that they dynoed the car. They are just finishing up the ECU work, and it's all good to go.

502 RWHP makes mine seem pathetic.

Mine was 348.2 RWHP which translates into approximately 409 hp. That means that Black M5's car has something like 550-560 hp at the crank if you factor in the 15% power loss from crank to the wheel.

In this day and age 348.2 doesn't sound like much

No seriously, 502 at the wheels is insane! How long has his car been in the shop anyway?

502 at the wheels does'nt mean much sitting in the shop for two years.

Get it on the street and make it run for a year and then I will be impressed.

Dont mean to be negative. I just think RMS is real sketchy. They have been doing their last minute fine tuning for 6 months now.

Jason,

while I'm not sure which estimate is correct, your math is off. If you have 502 horsepower @ the wheels, with a 15% loss, that means you have to divide 502 by .85, which translates into 590bhp @ the crank. The method of 502 * 1.15 is incorrect because it isn't 15% from the wheels, but the crank. The relative measurement will result in the skew (which actually comes out to 577).
