I'm car #999. This was almost exactly one year ago with 3200 miles on the odometer. I have not run it since, although I'm pretty confident a solid 12.7@110 is possible now with well broken-in engine. If you look at the run where I miss-shifted and finished a 12.9@106...a 12.8 could of been had that night.

Good god! What kind of car was car #417? It hit the quarter mile in 12.756 seconds at 111.44 mph! I'm also curious what cars #271 and #731 were too.

Those are VERY good times that you've managed with your beast! I wonder why Motor Trend hasn't been able to pull off those times!

I don't recall who I was racing...especially that first run...I was a bit nervous since that was my first time to drag race my beast. Probably a mustang or camaro, as I recall there was a musclecar shootout that night.

My car put 350HP to wheels on a dyno, 90% of other M5's that have been dynoed put down 325-340. So perhaps some examples are stronger than others.

Ramses: your car is VERY strong for a M5. You must've gotten the luck of the draw. I should try dyno'ing my car sometime. Does anyone know how I can go about in finding a reputable dyno shop in my area?

atomic80,

I'de suggest you call some local performance shops. Not necessarily euro shops, but also japanese and domestic shops. Ask them where they do their dyno tuning...that should get you to the right place.

Mike,

I saw zman's impressive dyno on another post. He is the only other member of this board outside myself with a stock/near stock M5 to post more than 342HP. Like I said earlier, roughly 90% have fallen in the 325-340 range.

Your Z8 is even more impressive. Figuring extremely conservative driveline loss, your topless beast has well over 410 horsepower AND well over 400 lb/ft. torque at the crank. That engine must of been hand assembled by ///M's best of the best.

What model dynometer did you and your brother use? What gear was your car in during the pull? zman was in 4th, just like me. I would like to see these monster dyno graphs...see if you can post up your graph or coax zman to post up his. We asked him in another discussion, but he hasn't done it yet.

Your 1/4 mile time is about what I'd expect, but the MPH is awesome. You ought to be able to shave another 2 tenths for a nice round 12.5 seconds. What was your 60ft. time?

Out of curiousity, are you using a G-tech to measure your performance?

Keep us posted on your updated numbers after the powerchip.

Congrats on those output numbers and 1/4 mile runs, and enjoy the PoWeR !
