did you run a gt1 test for codes on your car ?mine said it went in engine failsafe mode for cat protection because it had fuelstarvation or no fuel.best thing is to read the car out. bmw gt1 system is the best ,but i guess a peake reader tool will get a code also
did you replaced the pressure regulator right infront off the fuel filter ? that did it for me for a while.and its really cheap .. 50$ or something. after that i had no more troubles.
but now i have problems once it goes under 1/4 tank. probably the second fuelpump (driverside) is messed up now..
i need to chance it but im too busy for the moment.. so i fill her up regularly.
I'm running into the same problem Car cuts off after I hit 100 mph on 4th gear for no reason.
No check engine light.
Recently replaced a fuel pump sensor.
I got the same symptoms you are describing. I took it to a mechanic but I honestly don't think he really knows. He suggested I change spark plug sockets and spark plugs. Do a complete tune up as he described it.
I don't that's the case because my spark plugs were change 6 months ago with high end spark plugs, fuel filter was done 8 months ago. Anyway, did you ever find the problem??
