Actually, it looks pretty decent! What I used was a close match to the brushed titanim finish (bought the paint at Advance Auto) and painted the handle and then clear-coated so that the paint would not peel off! The regular handle is light aluminum but its solid aluminum all the way through so its quality! If you want, I can give you more details! It worked for me since our M's did not come with an aluminum-matched handle to match the brushed titanium interior!

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for the reply.

LOL, sorry, I didn't mean to convey that I wanted your handle! Tischer BMW have the handle in stock so I will most likely purchase from them. What I was interested in was how it matched your trim! Since you painted it, I thought maybe it looked out of place or didn't match before hand?

    Hi Richard,

That OEM aluminum handle is currently on my 03 M5! I don't have a spare one but you can buy this either from the dealer or go the Ebay way. Esp. if you go to the Netherlands or German e-bay site, they are available there. I do have two OEM leather-covered ones but I don't think you want those. Sorry I couldn't help you out!

    Hi Tom,

I am interested in buying the OEM aluminium e-brake handle for my 01' 530i Sport and noticed you have the very same trim as myself; brushed aluminium. I see you painted the handle (KRYLON grey) to match your trim better, did it look badly out of place before it was painted?

    Best regards,
    Richard
