    There might be a bit of confusion in the communication. Or it's my inability to use this medium (sorry). I didn't send you a PM, i just posted a message to you as seen below. The last line is a link. Again apologies

    I get a lot of PM's, and I'll admit I get confused from time to time, but I don't recall that I received anything from you.

    Please resend the PM and I'll check it out tomorrow.

    Ok I will try this again. I have attached a link to a recording I made of the sound. Please ignore the video quality as I was concerned about capturing the sound. As for the issues I am having;

    The car is pretty sluggish especially at lower RPM range. As I hope you can hear, the engine sound seems to be coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. I have no codes, or CEL. I have replaced all CPS, put in VW MAFS, and replaced pre-cat O2 sensors over the past few months. Not much change. I suspect it may be related to the VANOS but not sure.

    No problem at all.

    Links should post just fine - highlight some text then click on the picture of the world with the chain link on it - it will prompt you for the link address. Or, send me a PM

    What exactly are the issues you are having?
