Hey Wallace, CMBeamerM5 here. Just wanted to check in with you about your experience with EuroWerks in Stallings/Indian Trail. I still have not replaced my clutch, but now it is due. I stopped in at EuroWerks today for a quote. Please let me know if your experience was positive or negative. Thanks Claude

Just got your message....sorry for the delay. I do a lot of maintenance, etc on my own, but I have heard good things about Touring Car in Matthews.

I havent been on here in a while as well. Thats what happens I guess when work picks up and you have a 4 month old. We could go down to CMP as a private event easily- would just need to understand when everyone wants to go. Unfortunately, I currently dont have a bunch of time to coordinate dates with everyone on this thread. If someone could take point in determining the best date- I'll be happy to call ownership and see what they can accommodate.

Sorry I haven't been on M5board much lately. A GTG sounds like a good idea. So does a trip to CMP. Would that be with a car club or a private event?

Thanks Wallace, $1,200 vs $2,000 is a great savings. I'm going to go with the OEM, I just don't feel like putting a aftermarket one it. But, I do want to put in a aftermarket short shift kit in when I do replace my clutch. We should try to get together a Charlotte M5 group meeting sometime soon. There are at least 6 members on this board that are local to Charlotte.

Hey Wallace, good to hear from another Charlotte M5 member. The SuperSprint systems was put on by a Meineke Muffler shop in Pineville. They did an excellent job. I'm interested in the shop you are using, I'm in need of a new clutch myself, the prior owner had an new clutch installed at 36,000 miles, but I've been able to put 113,000 miles on mine, but it could used to be replaced. I think the way the car is driven has a lot to do with the life of the clutch. I will run mine hard from time to time, but not a the expence of damaging the car or the drive train. I have a few mods, and would like to add a cold air intake system, I would like to see if your shop is able to do such a mod. What it their contact information and where are the located.

I've owned a number of cars from Hendrick including BMW's and Lexus's however this is the first vehicle I've had in quite some time thats not under orig. man. warranty or is CPO. I took my M5 to Eurowerks to have a pre-purchase inspection and they seemed knowledgeable and easy to work with. Certified Master BMW Tech at $90/hr instead of a lot more at Hendrick. I'm gonna give them a whirl for a few of the minor things they found under that inspection (oil sensor replacement, power steering leak) and price out a new clutch with them. Not happy (at all) about the fact that I need one at 28k - but I guess its part of owning a 7 yr old car where I don't know the previous owner.

I just moved down here a month ago so other than having my leather fixed up by Interior Magic at Hendrick, I have not done any other work here. Since I got the car (about 5 weeks ago..) I have had my work done by a BMW tech I know in Winston at Flow BMW. He does labor at 40% of the dealer. He also has been working on my M5 for years, for the previous owner. So when I need any work I will most likely drive up to Winston for him to work on it. I would definitely check out GMP and Eurowise as Edwin suggested. And its never too bad to check out the Hendrick as well. Dealers aren't always a bad option.
