    Hey Mighty, I have never had this issue happen to me, I doubt it is due to over revving as there is a rev limiter that just bangs you off and cuts the power but does not throw up reduce power messages. I would re-start the engine and see if the message has disappeared and then try and get the code read as it should be stored. Drive the car around again and then try doing the same thing to see if it happens again.

    hey amigo quick question i know your driving an 06 with more miles than me. recently, as in today i had my car in m mode p500 i was in 3rd gear going 6k then pinned it wot and bam reduce power engine malfunction have you had this issue yet? if so what was it? ive read some threads and most say its the fuel pump...what do you think? i talked to a pertty knowledgable mech that eloy referred me to and he said sounds like a missfire due to over revving the engine but ive dont this many times and havent ever had this problem. he sai re start the car and run a few cycle and the problem should go away but i know its never that easy with these cars. what do you think man have you had this happen before?
