As many of you may already know, ASR's intake is the only
TRUE Cold Air Intake on the market for the S85. Many companies mis-lead consumers by stating their intake systems are cold air. When, in fact, a Cold Air Intake by definition means that the filter has to placed in a cold air source which none of the other competitors offer. Also, dyno results we state show our CAI gains against a stock car with charcoal filters and with out. This is important since no other intake manufacturer offers results with both. The reason being that just a charcoal filter removal can net a 10whp gain. If the gains seen from another intake are 15whp, 10whp of that is from the charcoal filter being removed leaving you with a 5whp gain. This is the main reason why other intake manufacturers choose not to show consumers the dyno comparison between the two, yet again mis-leading you.
One of the main reasons our results prove to be more siginificant than most other systems is not only because of increased airflow volume, but also because of decreased air intake temperatures. Decreased air intake temps is what allows the factory DME to run more ignition timing advance, in turn creating more usuable power through out the powerband.
