RPi's Ram Air Scoops converts your factory intake system into a ram air type. Other aftermarket induction kits mostly suck in hot air causing a loss of performance. The use of heatshields are not very affective as heat shields mainly work to block radiant heat. Utilizing the stock intake boxes, expect a 10 - 15 whp gain with 70mph airflow. RPi's Ram Air systems have been dyno proven as well as track proven and come with a 30-day money back guarantee.

BMC air filters are designed and produced to ensure a higher air flow than original paper filters. In F1, for example, BMC cotton filters minimize the loss of air flow pressure passing through the air filter; this way ensures the best conditions for full exploitation of maximum power. Therefore the benefits of replacing the original paper filter with BMC cotton air filter, produced using the same technology and materials as the F1 air filters, are evident.

RPi's ram air block off plates are used in conjunction with our Ram Air kit. The plates partially block off the bottom secondary hole of the intake box. This allows for quicker pressurization of the intake system. Dyno tests have shown a 4 - 6 whp gain in the midrange.

RPi Ram Air Scoops.
Average install time: 10-15min
Tools/Parts Needed:

- RPi Ram Air Scoops
- Torx Screwdriver Set
- Long Philips Screwdriver
- Small Stubby Flathead Screwdriver

Step 1:
Okay. Obviously, you will need to open your hood. Once open, you need to remove the weatherstipping (see below). To do this, push the weatherstripping towards the back of the car a little and pull upwards.

Step 2:
Using the torx screwdriver, remove the bolts shown in the picture below

Step 3:
Removing the grill: You only need to get to the top 3 clips and one on each side to remove the grill. First, use a small screwdriver to push in the slap. At the same time, pull the grill outwards. Start from one side and work your way to the other. After the 3rd one, the top of the grill will be partially out (see image below). Leave it like this. Do NOT try to yank out the grill.

Step 4:
Pull the center of the front bumper out enough for you to get your arm in there. There will be one pin on each side of the grill piece. You can either squeeze (if you are strong enough) or use a small stubby screwdriver to push them in like the ones on top.

Step 5:
Follow step 4 on the other side of the grill.

Step 6:
Once the side pins are pushed in, pull the grill outward and it should come off easily.

Step 7:
Here is a picture of the back of the grill. This will give you an idea of where the pins are located. See the little red arrows? They are pointing at the pins you need to push or squeeze.

Step 8:
This image shows you where the holes will be after you mount the air scoop. The highlighted area (in grey) is where the scoop's tab will go.

Step 9:
Once you line up the scoop, use the self tapping screws to secure the scoop in place. There is no need to use a drill. Use a long screwdriver to install the screws. Do NOT overtighten.

Use the self-tapping screw to secure the bottom scoop tab.
