OK...it's not an M5 but it will sure as heck keep up with a factory stock one up to 160.00 mph at least, and will most certainly out handle one on the road / track
Shows just what can be achieved with the trusty old 545i V8 valvetronic engine, and almost all the upgrades on it are available for the M5 / M6 .
Its a dificult question to answer. The 545i touring would not be a replacment car for an E39 M5 as they are two different cars completely. But for people with familys who are after load spacer and still want a fast car they are a very good option if you can't afford or justify an E61 M5
