here's a picture of a customer's car we just did today, preLCI M5 with our angel eyes along with some other goodies installed including eibach pro-kit springs =)
For the 2008+ we have the H8 5000k replacement bulbs for 24.99 installed. The 3W LED Angel Eyes won't fit your car. You can stop by and I can have it installed for you in 5mins
The 3W AE's are for 2006-2007 models only and the 2008+ models are just H8 5000k replacement bulbs. The H8 replacement bulbs are the same brightness, but for the 2006-2007 models are brighter.
Once you open the hood take off the weather strip and undo the 5 "star" bolts. Then the headlights have two 8mm bolts in the bottom just loosen those about 4 turns and take off the two "star" bolts as well. Once you do that pull the bumper towards you and take off the headlight and you are good to go I'll try to do a DIY for it soon.
I'm new to the M5 world. On my 2005 E46 M3 I had to install a set of LED rings to achieve the angeleyes look. Is it simply swapping a set of led bulbs in the M5?
Just to let you guys know--I shopped with Joe a little while back..these are the best ones ive had in my car. Brighter and more noticeable during the day time! Great buy!
I will be getting these installed sometime next week!
See you guys soon!
