If we are talking about the CIC you will get the triple blinker option. The US one will have the HD Radio built-in.

From my understanding the only real difference is the US Spec has HD radio built in and the EURO does not.

The Euro one has the HD Radio as well, but it is a different standard, so it won't work in the US.

If you have Sirius now it will work with the CIC.

So what are the major down falls of the upgrade? Everything works ok even with the new climate controls? The only thing is VC? How about the controller will i need a new trim piece and controller? I have read posts where the controller moves faster on the screen then it feels on your fingers. I would love to upgrade to the new nav but if this is one of those mods that can cause trouble in the future it might not be for me. I am not one to take good money and spend it on something that could possibly give me problems down the road. The nav system right now works fine. It is dated and runs really slow but it works consistently. If you feel this is something that will give me a problem in the future please let me know. I am a very busy guy and do not have time to trouble shoot nav/climate control problems. Thanks!

The LCI A/C panel does not work in a pre-LCI car. You will have to keep the existing one.
You should rather keep the existing controller as well, since it looks like there is a lot of hassle to fit the new one.

Just read reviews from other guys here who have already done it. I don't want to tell you if you should or shouldn't do it.
I have it installed in my car as well and I am so happy about it. My car feels like the 2009 model while it's the 2006 one

Maybe someone who has retrofitted the CIC could chime in...

My car is a E60 m5 summer 06 build. So what your saying its pretty much a seamless upgrade? No issues with the controller? Or any other issues except the HD radio?

This is exactly what I am saying, but if you want to get some independent opinions just ask the guys on the forum.
I have just one issue that has not been solved in a LCI E60 yet, but for a pre-LCI no issues.

I have a 07 m6 it sounds like the full kit is for 06 650s my question is do I need the full kit? Or just the head unit

If I have a wood dash do I give that up? And what's differnt that I would for a m6 that isn't included here?

Also will it mess up the "m" functions?
