ASR Cold Air Intake Group Buy

As many of you may already know, ASR's intake is the only TRUE Cold Air Intake on the market for the S85. Many companies mis-lead consumers by stating their intake systems are cold air. When, in fact, a Cold Air Intake by definition means that the filter has to placed in a cold air source which none of the other competitors offer. Also, dyno results we state show our CAI gains against a stock car with charcoal filters and with out. This is important since no other intake manufacturer offers results with both. The reason being that just a charcoal filter removal can net a 10whp gain. If the gains seen from another intake are 15whp, 10whp of that is from the charcoal filter being removed leaving you with a 5whp gain. This is the main reason why other intake manufacturers choose not to show consumers the dyno comparison between the two, yet again mis-leading you.

One of the main reasons our results prove to be more siginificant than most other systems is not only because of increased airflow volume, but also because of decreased air intake temperatures. Decreased air intake temps is what allows the factory DME to run more ignition timing advance, in turn creating more usuable power through out the powerband. The following link shows dyno results of our system ASR Engineering CAI Dyno Results.

The Group Buy Special is for up to 5 CAI Systems. To be part of the group conact ASR @ 350-971-3114, with billing information. At that point we will require a 50% deposit and add you to the group buy list. Once the list fills we will charge members on the list the remaining balance + shipping and the systems will ship.

List Price $2495.00
Group Buy Price $ 1749.95

WOW!

Alot of work went into that!

Question though... what about water ingestion? Are those wet or dry elements? And who manufactures the cones?

We manufacture these filters and they are made of 200 micron T304 Stainless mesh, so they are not paper or cloth. These filters are specifically designed to reduce airflow turbulence, thus allowing the intake to produce more usable power. We use these filters for our Porsche TT applications and also our 135/335 twin turbo airbox. When put to the the test, these filters will outflow any paper or cloth filter on the market and are very easy to clean. To remove and clean them only take a few minutes by just removing the kidney grills.

We've been asked this question so many times about the water ingestion. We would never engineer a product without doing the proper R&D to make it reliable. This system incorporates a special water by-pass valve that will never allow water to be ingested in to the intake system. We even went one step further and put a scope in the intake runners so it would allow us to visually see if any water would be ingested during a bad storm. As many of you may already know, we tested this system during the middle of summer here in Miami, FL where we have torrential downpours. We literally tested our CAI through walls of rain with no issues or even a drop of water to speak of while viewing through the scope.

The following is a picture of our water by-pass valve connected to our intake runners.

You'll soon get a chance to see it in person since member M-Power77 from Bahrain just ordered it. These intakes are not that loud like what you would expect t hear from an import style CAI. When you're in the cabin at WOT there is a definite difference, but not enough to notice it in the audio of the filming.

Abid, your products' craftsmanship is second to none. The system looks great under the hood! Are the MAF sensors powder coated or painted to match?

Thank You for the positive feedback. The pics of the CNC mass meter housings above are in raw form before coating. The final product is powder coated in wrinkle black just like the completed CAI pics above it. This way it matches with the factory OEM look.
