ASR Gen II exhaust review

Ok...so far dealing with Abid has been a positive experience. He is a gentleman and I am very satisfied with him and ASR up to this point. Exhaust came in yesterday. Installed this morning. Looks...well, I don't really care about that. Its steel and shiny. Fine. Install went well. Fits perfectly. Sound...it is by far the best sound I have heard on either M5 or M6. Its deep and it rumbles. Its not raspy, which I tend to not like, so that worked out perfectly. The sound is perfect. Volume...well loud is not the word. It is extremely loud. At first, I was thinking it might be a bit too loud. Thats my first impression. Now, I just got back from lunch. I opened the convertible to see how bad it was and it actually seems to sound better with the top down. Radio has to be turned higher otherwise I can not hear it clearly. Performance, I have yet to push it so that remains to be seen. At idle its not bad. The second you put a load on it, it screams. I am a little fearful of what the neighbors may say...and of course the police. Overall I love it. I will post more as I drive with it. Great job ASR!!!!

Don't worry. I felt my Evo headers and Dinan cans were too loud when I first got them. You will get used to the volume and then you're going to love the tone even more.
Thanks for the write up.

m6ontheway,
You think that it's loud huh, well that has me wondering if i should wait till ASR has the resonator for this system ready, they are developing a resonator that replaces the x-pipe. In talking to Abid he says no loss of power and it will take the sound down a notch.
Looking forward to meeting up with you in a few days.
Let me know if any of the neighbors throw Sh@T at you...

lol...hopefully Frank my neighbors arent too angry!! We will see tomorrow morning...ironically since we spoke on the phone, the system is seeming better now...I should rephrase, lower perhaps? Or I am adjusting favorably to the extreme volume?? I am not sure but I am feeling more comfortable now, I think thats the better phrase. Frank when we meet up, you will see. By then I may be totally deaf or numb though!! I would like some second opinions though.

Richard, Glad to see you're happy with the system. The sound will tone down a bit after a few days of driving. Thanks for the positive rermarks they are very much appreciated!

For everyone else, keep in mind that the M6 system is quite a bit louder than the M5. Believe it or not, the shorter wheelbase of the M6 does make a difference in overall decibal rating.
