Hey Eloy,

If I were to go the header route eventually, would it make more sense to get the GT or ST sec 1?

And can you give some details on the dyno chart? Was that with all 3 secs (ST or GT sec 1?)?

Going ST or GT makes virtually no HP difference. The real difference is visual (2 round tips per side vs 1 squarish tip per side) and audible (the GT is a bit louder, though still nowhere near as loud as some other exhaust choices on the market).

Remember, headers increase the noise level.

I meant the Sec 1. Cat delete vs race cat. If I were to go the header route eventually, would it make sense to have one set of race cats?

The flow difference between two very very high flow 2.5" metal matrix cats on an engine of this size and this power vs straight 2.5" piping will be virtually nil. The cats will help reduce the noise a bit, get rid of that exhaust stink (it tends to be easy to smell a totally cat-less car from behind, something most people are concerned with with respect to police), and should make a small small difference in lower end torque.

Considering the small price difference, I'd personally go with the cats. If high flow cats were a huge difference in price, then perhaps I'd consider straight pipes more seriously.

Any drawbacks to getting the Sec 1 race cats and keeping stock headers?

You'll get a small flow increase over the stock sec 1, which is a positive thing. On the negative side, there's the price of the item + install.

Gabe, what is this quantity of "virtually nil" in terms of hp and torque at the low end? If this amount is so small, why offer straight pipes and high flow cats? One more thing, can you ask eloy to list weights of each listed section?
