Mike,
Are you guys programing locally yet?

Programs can not be done locally because I am not the programmer. I will have the system that flashes the ECU soon, but your ECU file still has to go to the programmer for the upgrade. If you want it done on the spot, we will be tuning a few cars at bimmerfest in Santa Barbara on May 3rd.

The instructions for removing the ECU are very good. A couple pointers from my experience:
- The 13mm plastic nuts do not need to be "unscrewed". Just turn them a quarter turn. They are just release tabs.
- The "tabs" to release the wiring harnesses from the ECU are a bit different than what I am used to. Instead of pinching the tabs in to release, you slide the tabs out. Slide them all the way out -- they will extend a inch or two.

Is there any alternative to sending out my ecu to get this programming done?
This is the only thing holding me back.

A nice little road trip to Phoenix perhaps?
At least the ECU will be fully adjusted when you get home.
