They are electroluminescent... they have a half-life of approx 6000hrs (continuous use).

They've been installed successfully!!

I'm hoping to have the DIY instructions done in a couple of days. The installer did both the M3 and M5 sills back-to-back, he rated the M3 at 2/5 for difficulty and the M5 at 3/5. The M5 is great in that you don't need to remove the entire glove box to access the fusebox.

Rather than tapping the wires at the door, he tapped them at the fusebox for a much cleaner install.

It is great to see it installed YYZ-M3. Now that the install issues are out of the way and the prototype is done, it is time to move on with this groupbuy.

Details about the groupbuy (for those who didn't read the rest of the thread):
It will be a base of $375 for a pair of the front sills (changes in color, options, or design extra-- see the website). At 10+ orders the price will drop $25 per pair. This will be for the standard lettering (===BMW===, ===BMW Individual===, or ===///M5=== ). Grafxwerks will need $200 deposit per order with the remaining amount due before shipment.

For the folks who want custom lettering, Ryan has stated that he will handle them on a case-by-case basis and it will not be included in this group buy.

Everyone that is definitely in please add your name to this list. Thanks.
