M5Board Member "Achtungs" 03 M5 Rolls Out

M5Board Member "Achtungs" 03 M5 rolls out of Discovery Automotives shop

This Sterling Grey M5 belongs to board member "Achtung" He originally had it shipped to us to simply be reassembled as it had been disassembled by another tuners facility in SoCal and the project was terminated prior to completion. However during the curse of numerous discussions it became obvious he had more in mind.

The following upgrades were then added and installed at our facility.

A full Super Sprint exhaust including headers, small metal bed cats, "X" pipe, and mufflers
DME Software
HRE Custom built wheels
Brembo Grand Turismo brakes. 8 piston calipers with 15" rotors on the front and 4 piston calipers with 13.5" rotors at the rear.
Dunlop Sport 9000 255 35 19 front and 285 30 19 at the rear.
UUC clutch and flywheel
Quaiffe differential with alternate gears
Front and rear sway bars
Dinan springs at all for corners which resulted in a lowered ride height
Specially machined collars for the rear struts for a truly personal ride
height
UUC EVO 3 short shifter
Custom weighted and engraved stainless steel shifter knob
IAT relocation kit
Composite side skirts
AC Schnitzer rear diffuser
AC Schnitzer 3 piece deck lid spoiler
Discovery Automotives custom carbon fiber front spoiler.

Visually the car is stunning.

Audibly the car is intimidating.

Performing the car is phenomenal

Owning the car must be a dream.

The car is completed and now back in the hands of its proud owner.

And finally the custom made Discovery Automotive front spoiler before the billet struts were placed on.

For more photos of Achtungs Beast and information on the various pieces including a full spread on the making of the spoiler please visit our site.

Wow, beautiful work guys. Congratulations to both the owner
and Discovery.

How difficult is it to install the AC Schnitzer rear diffuser?
Tx.

It looks like Discovery Automotive is turning into a full-scale automotive aftermarket tuner for BMWs! Very nice indeed!

Congrats for moving in the right direction, Daniel.

Re: M5Board Member "Achtungs" 03 M5 Rolls Out

woah.. thats nice!

Did the rear acs diffuser cause problems with the 90mm Supersprint tailpipes?

Would loved to get the diffuser, but not sure if it would clear the supersprints.

Re: M5Board Member "Achtungs" 03 M5 Rolls Out

Thank you for all the wonderful comments.

In the thread Super Charged shared that the car was complete....... are they ever. Even in the case of this project there are a few additional detail items being installed.

As Super Charged shared Achtung was the Puppet Master for this project and we did everything we could to present back to him his dream. Based on what he has shared with me he was and remains extremely happy.

With regards to the front spoiler I have asked SuperCharged to post a few pictures of the design and fabrication stages of the process including the cad drawings of the yet to be installed struts. We have the struts completed but the car was placed into service a few days before they arrived. They are expected to be installed in a few days at which additional photos will be posted. There is also an AC Schnitzer 3 piece rear spoiler that was just painted and will be installed shortly as well.

As for the AC Schnitzer rear diffuser, a very nice piece, the installation is very straight forward and fits just fine even with the larger diameter SS muffler tips.

Take care

Shadowman

What is the price on that front spoiler? I'd also like to see some closer side view pics, trying to figure out how far forward it sticks.
thanks

As I stated before when Bloch's (sp?) car came out, you guys do stand up work. That beast looks great, and knowing Discovery, the quality must be top notch. I look forward to seeing more products and installs.

Another fine example rolling out your doors--- nice job. Makes me project the image of my beast doing the same. Hmmmm...
