Hmmm Some good points raised.

Which makes me think. I intend on getting the Rear ACS Diffuser.

So it may be wise to get that NOW. I wanted it made in Carbon Fibre.

There is no point adjusting the length to a Standard Beast, when the ACS diffuser will look better if the tubis are extended out further.

Daniel, are you going to be selling C/F ACS Diffuser's

ELEVENS,
My tips may be out a little further because of the X-pipe/cat cut. The tips stick out about 2 inches from the vertical plane made by the edge of the rear bumper. I would not want them sticking out less, irrespective of the fact that I have the ACS diffuser.

Ocean-Side M5,
There aren't jackstands, as a lift was used. You might be seeing the exhaust holder that muffler shops used. The weights on the right rear wheel are extensive due to a heavy spot in the Michelin tire. This was a new tire, and I didn't think that it warranted asking for a replacement from Tire Rack. There is no downside to the weights. Now it works perfectly. No need to disconnect from the headers. Just cut between the stock resonators and cats. I will get back to you on the Tubi resonator bolt.

MAH,
You are welcome.

MIB,
CF diffuser is not worth waiting for, unless you are very very patient . It is probably a good idea to get the ACS diffuser first (remember that you will also have to have it painted). I can provide you with a price quote if you are interested, as BeastPower is an authorized AC Schnitzer dealer.

Cheers.

Hey Daniel,

Yes please, could you get me a price. Don't they do a clear coated Black C/F? If not, I may be a little patient as that is the look I want. I don't really want them painted. Black C/F will be subtle against my Steel Grey.

P.S. Thanks for shipping that, other thing. You can debit my Credit card, or email me if I need to do anything.

Boy that's a purdy exhaust. Daniel has out-done his self yet again!

If I was in the market, TUBI would be the one I would choose. I like the "hoover vacuum" sound of my stock exhaust though...

Staggered?

Daniel,

Are the tips staggered like the OEM pipes?

More questions

Daniel,

You have had the Dinan exhaust and the OEM exhaust. How would you describe the sound of the Tubi compared to those two. I realize the Dinan was much louder than OEM. Any noise in the cabin with the Tubi at idle or steady state driving?

Thanks,

Mark

I was in Gaspassers' M5 with the TUBI. The interior noise is not much different than stock when cruising. More exhaust noise at full throttle but not intrusive at all. From the outside, the car sounds great taking off. It turns heads, but still not "raspy" loud.

No resonance on the freeway.

Very nice mellow sound at idle and slow speeds. The workmanship is of the requisite quality.

Hi Mark,

The stock exhaust is a little too quiet to sound sporty, and the Dinan seems to have a loud rattle in its tone. Before the Tubi, my favorite compromise was the Supersprint with X-pipe. The Tubi just adds a much nicer build-quality, a complete cat-back system and an exotic high-RPM note to the equation. The Tubi is the best compromise, while the Kelleners/Eisenmann Race with X-pipe is the best loud exhaust for those that do not need to use the beast for business, outings with passengers, and long boring highway driving.

Cheers.

Sound

Chuck and Daniel,

Thanks for the feedback. I am very much looking forward to the Tubi install. The x-pipe on the OEM is a pretty good combination now that the exhaust is a couple of years old. It has deepened in sound over time.
