Tradin,
I have been told I have a led foot, drifting on every corner does not help in saving Gas, I have not done any highway on this tank. I guess I have to ride normal for a while to see the consumption, man, it is a ticket waiting to happen, just a metter of time.
It is just a fun ride...... Not that I am complaining, for a ride like this who gives a &$#@&*% about MPG. just wondering.
Thanks.... Great forum.

You [get to] drift on every corner? I would have lost my license by now...!

Well, yesterday, I finally got the time to do the IATS relo (Option-2), putting it in the airbox below the filter, unplugging the MAFs and securing them to the Bosch tubes with plastic cable ties (I covered the MAFs & connectors with electrical tape). Much longer than 20-minutes for me (1st time doing anything like this), but thanks and props to Kevinf, Saedrin, POOFY and others, as I had your printed feedback right next to me.

The IATS cable was the perfect length and all seems to be working. I used solder, shrinkwrap & tape. If impressions are better after some adapting, I will provide feedback. I sent pictures to Evolve/RK who said my install looked solid (let me know if you want to see them); I will run diagnostics, per Sal to see if the IATS is okay.

For now (Alpha-N over 2-weeks), the car is quieter, smoother with "right-now" throttle response; it actually does feel lighter. Idling is much quieter on cold start and fully warmed at a traffic light, the engine sound is almost non-existent. MPG appears to be the same, but I can definitely relate to the loss with "pedal to the metal tendencies...." This >50 guy is feeling like a teen again!

Can't do it right now. Trying to hide the ssk expense. My wife is going drive it at next track day. My plan is for her to love so I can spend more money. For the record, she loves the tune and said it makes the car much better.

Hmmm... 10-years of M5 ownership and my wife has never driven my car (but loves riding in it). She fears breaking it will somehow end our >20-year marriage... GOD I love her!!
