The only reason I want a raised idle is that I have straight pipes and have noticed they have a little bit of resonance at factory idle speed that vibrates the car sometimes. I noticed that if I give it 100-200rpm more on the pedal, it immediately quiets down and is smooth, so that's the easiest way for me to fix that issue. If you have no issues with idle, I wouldn't change it.
I don't plan to change my RPM limiter either - I don't see why you'd want to do that and risk engine damage from higher RPMs...plus, the horsepower peak on my stock engine is below redline anyway so there's no benefit to raising the limiter. I'll get rid of the speed limiter, but only so I can do a complete dyno session in 5th gear (1:1 ratio on the transmission) and not because I plan to drive the car faster than 155mph.
