How about as compared to the stock dual-mass or your own dual-mass setup? How often is there chatter or gear lash? Are the benefits over your dual-mass kit enough to outweigh the increase in noise?
The feedback from customers is the gear lash is minimal and much less than a lightweight single mass flywheel (The CNS 10.5 single mass flywheel is several times heavier to reduce gear lash)
The performance and durability benefits listed outweigh the negligible noise however if you do not want any noise levels then our 10.5 Dual Mass clutch product would be your choice.

Maybe you can post a couple of videos with the new clutch so people can hear the amount of gear lash noise and decide which product best suits their needs. I can attest the dual mass setup has 0 gear lash noise.
what if i have no intent of racing/tracking my car (at the moment, at least)? Would this clutch be suitable for daily driving? I'm just asking because everyone seems to call it a "racing" clutch?

Both the Dual and Single mass 10.5 clutches we offer are geared and designed to offer both benefits in one package (street daily driving and racing). Following the break in period the drivability and pedal effort will be almost identical to the oem clutch. The torque capacity has more than doubled which in turn leads to much greater durability. We have customers having over 90k miles on our clutch with heavy abuse!
Just got my car back today with the CNS clutch installed. Clearly I haven't done 500 miles yet, but the pedal is WAY improved over the tired OEM clutch. Just about the same effort as my 330i. Engagement point is much closer to the floor, which takes some getting used to. Gear lash noise is (currently) present if I'm stopped, pedal out, and between cars or next to a wall/barrier. But it's not terrible by any means. If it gets better from here, I'm happy. Engagement is still a bit jumpy, and down-shifting can also be, but I hope both to smooth over the next 2 tanks of gas.
Naturally I haven't hammered it yet, but it does feel very, very strong! And, though a lighter flywheel than OE, I haven't seen a big RPM drop that could induce stalling.
I purchased the single mass clutch and have been driving on it for about 2 weeks now. I am very impressed with the clutch feel and the pedal effort. I was expecting the pedal to feel heavier....do to the fact this is a "racing" clutch; but it feels a little lighter than OEM. The acceleration is strong and positive! I don't feel like I have to baby this thing anymore. RPSDriver said his feels a little jumpy during engagement; well, it feels like “teeth” grabbing when 1st gear engages, to me. It has the same solid feel that the 2011 Porsche 911 had, that I drove back in December while in Germany.
My car is a daily driver and I had to replace my OEM clutch after a little more than 3 years. I did not want to make that expensive mistake again. So at the recommendation of my mechanic, I went looking for a single mass clutch. My mechanic knows that I love to drive my car like it is meant to be driven - I do not race, and I do not ride my clutch. He said that it is not unusual to burn out an OEM clutch driving this car aggressively. I was lucky that CNS had just come out with this setup. After some research on this and other forums, I decided to give CNS a try.
I had read so things about gear lash noise and I was a little concerned at first, but not anymore. It took a few days before I heard any noise at all. But one day after church, I was standing outside the car and it started. The noise was faint enough that I could hold a conversation right next to the car; it can't be heard inside the car with the windows up. This noise does not bother me at all and it is a small price to pay for a great clutch!!
