thanks for the update.

are you going to be doing some testing on these after you get them and before you ship them out to us?

going to be tight to get these and install them before Timmayfest. oh well will be worth the wait and know they will function properly when installed.

Assuming all specified dimensions were followed and dimensional tolerances are with in spec, I plan on installing my set to confirm the proper fit and insure that there are no installation issues. After which point I will assemble the rest and ship them out. I know the bearings are up to the task, so as long as the retainers and ancilliary pieces go together as designed, I feel comfortable shipping them to the end user.

Well, as seem to be the status quo with contracted work - deadlines are rarely met. I'm not sure if they had a CNC lathe go down or what the issue is exactly. I have informed the machine shop that I'm thoroughly displeased with their inability to communicate an up-to-date, accurate completion date.

I personally apologize for this slow turn around and will do my best to turn them around extremely quickly when they arrive.

Apparently the angry email and call helped. I just recieved this, less than 2 minutes after posting the above:

Thanks for the update. Based on this, when are you thinking ETA on shipped sets?

The current plan is to do any necessary deburring, and a dimensional-quality check on the day I receive the parts. If all is good, I will be doing my confirmation install on the following day.

Assuming the remaining balance has been squared up, I will be able to ship them the day following my install and approval.

I'm headed to Boston to visit a vendor from May 29-31 and hope to have the first round shipped out to everyone by then.

I just spoke with the machine shop.
They have informed me that machining on the retainers has been completed, has passed their in-house QC, and I should have them this coming Monday or Tuesday.

The spacers (the steel sleeves that locate the spherical bearing between the ears on the front subframe) are due by the end of next week.
