no. You use the existing bolts to bolt the bracket to the spindle that bolts the OEM brake bracket to the spindle and the bolts for the caliper come with the PBK.
Both are M12x1.50 which you can get at an automotive shop if you want to use new bolts
Frits brackets used different bolts, but I'm also planning on getting the holes made in a way, where they use the bolts from the PBK and the existing bolts from the M5 bracket. It just makes things easier.
It isn't too late yet, I will post when it is for the first run.
All these are are for the fronts, I am not looking at the rears at all. I did the bias calcs and designed for just putting these on the front and the setup is closer to optimal than stock.
If someone sends me the complete rear setup, I can calculate the system and see if it will even work without a master cylinder or proportioning valve swap/add and then design a bracket.
There's no thread about that yet. I'll post it up in the main thread and create a seperate purchase thread, once the pricing/production details are finalized.
UPDATE!
The bracket will work as-is, but requires part of the spindle to be ground/cut. It is more than I feel comfortable doing, in the event I want to convert back to stock. The problem, however, can be fixed! I took some new measurements and will have another test bracket made this week.
So excited to get this to work, but want to do it right :tonquesmilie:
Just to clarify was this the area you were talking about having to grind with the first test bracket and now with the second bracket there is no need to grind this area? Or was this some other fitment issue and we should still plan on grinding here as per fritz's install install instructions?
that is the grinding area that has been eliminated. These are now a direct-fit item. The only custom work that is needed is if you use the rotors that come with the kit - you will need to drill out the additional holes for the alignment dowls
