Thanks DAB. Pencil me in for a dual-regular, please.
I'm now going to read up on the rear install (if you have any "best install" URLs to pass along, please do.) I may upgrade to quad-reg, and may come back with an additional order from/for an off-Board friend. My email to you will come when I have clarified the above.
I'm on the fence....I'd like to look behind my PDC eyes & see if it might be mod friendly.....for replacing with jammers. Do you have dimensions of the heads? ...and do just the plastic windows of the jammers need to be unobstructed?....or the whole laser-facing side of the box?

I believe boardmember M5daemon (who has his own shop) did this. Essentially used a plasma cutter to cut holes in the bumper carriers and installed the head in the impact strips just like PDC sensors. Exactly what I intend to do front and back.

I don't think George completely removed his PDC, though. I think he installed the heads on the mouldings, which is a good idea. I wouldnt completely remove PDC, though. It has heads on the outer edge that give you a wider angle of detection.

There is depth behind the moldings in the rear bumper to flush mount them. Not sure about the fronts. Either way, you would NOT want these mounted behind any sort of window.

I'd add them in rather than try to replace the PDC for 2 reasons:
1. It won't actually fill the PDC hole - the height of the head is smaller than the diameter of the PDC circle.
2. It would leave you with a problem at the corners as DINY said.
One location I think might work out very well is directly under the headlight in the painted strip. I believe that modifying that strip and installing a slim-head in that location might be just about optimal except for when cresting a hill where the bumper could interfere with the forward visibility of the head. But it would be a heck of a lot easier than putting it in the bumper.
