My Bimmer has mind of her own

My driver seat and steering wheel adjustment were not working. I tried to fixed it myself. Turned out the connector that connect to the seat adjustment module came loose. I plugged it back. It's fixed. Here's the weird part. in the process of fixing it, i opened steering column to see if there's something is out of ordinary. When I put everything back together, my dash information missing LED was fixed. I have been thinking about replacing the LED for a long time. It fixed itself..well by me unintentionally. One less thing I have to worry about...Just wanna to share with you guys. Instead of order new LED display, you may want to check the connection under dash and steering column first.

thanks,

ab

How long was the car sitting there while you did the work?
Mine went in to shop for 3 days, when I got it back the dash was almost fully working... By time I got home (45 minutes away) it was back to normal. Same thing happens when I park car for weekend, just not as close to fully working. These cars retain a lot of heat over night, even in colder places...
If it continues to work I would be surprised, but if so congrats!
Matt
P.S. I dont mean to rain on your parade...

i don't drive it much. The car has been seating for a week after 1,500 miles trip. it took me one hour to work on it. I noticed the change last night when I moved it in and out of garage to make room for others. I have not drove it since. I will find out soon after I replace my spare tire with real one since I got flat when I got back from the trip. I'll see if it stays fixed.

thank,
ab
